The agreement covers the establishment of solar parks of up to 500 MW, with a value of almost SEK 3 billion.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Interest in large-scale solar energy in Sweden has increased significantly. As the price of solar panels has dropped while the price of electricity has risen to new records, many people see the potential of solar energy.<\/p>\n\n<p>FuGen has long had its eyes open for the opportunities that exist in Sweden to establish larger solar parks. The company&#8217;s founders Yaron Feingers and Lorenzo Lanteri have extensive experience in the solar energy industry, having previously built up a portfolio of photovoltaic installations in Italy.<\/p>\n\n<p>&#8220;We strongly believe in the potential for solar power in Sweden, both in connection with wind farms and as stand-alone plants, it will be an important complement to wind power in our portfolio&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n<p>FuGen already has two operational wind farms in Sweden, Axelsvik 5 MW and Fj\u00e4llboheden 42 MW, and one under construction, Tormoser\u00f6d 73 MW, and aims to build a portfolio of wind, solar and energy storage facilities,<\/p>\n\n<p>The contractor for the future solar parks will be EnergiEngagemang, which has built the large solar park at Str\u00e4ngn\u00e4s and has three more large solar parks planned for 2023.<\/p>\n\n<p>Large-scale solar energy will be an important part of the Swedish energy system in the future. The Swedish Energy Agency recently presented a report where solar power produced 1.1 TWh in 2021, representing a share of total energy production of around 1%. A figure that many believe will increase tenfold in the coming years.<\/p>\n\n<p>&#8220;You only have to look at how much solar energy the rest of Europe has in its systems to understand that we will soon be there. &#8220;Solar energy is the only power source that can be expanded quickly and at a very attractive price,&#8221; says Johan Sk\u00f6rdare, CEO of EnergiEngagemang.<\/p>\n\n<p>The two companies are now developing a list of upcoming solar farm projects that they hope to present before the summer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FuGen and EnergiEngagemang have recently started a collaboration with the aim of accelerating the development of larger solar parks around Sweden.
