Solar Power Facade for Platzer Fastigheter: 132.8 kWp
In 2024, we commissioned Platzer Fastigheter’s new 132.8 kWp solar power system on a logistics building in their Arendal development area.
Most of our installations on commercial properties are done on the roof, but this time the analysis showed that the facade was a more suitable location for a solar power plant.
Why was the facade chosen for this project?
“Since the logistics building is located in a windy area, we would have needed to reinforce the roof to withstand the wind loads the solar power plant would be exposed to. Therefore, we examined the building’s facade, which turned out to have better conditions. One long side faces south, is relatively free of obstacles, and has a suitable structure. Our simulations of solar radiation yielded excellent results. Platzer, a leader in innovative real estate solutions, liked the proposal and quickly decided to launch the project.”
